importance of the town hall meeting

The Town Hall meeting is open to all parents, and we encourage everyone who can attend to do so.

The Town Hall meetings are set up as a forum for dialogue between parents and the US Fencing leadership. It is an excellent venue to ask questions, make constructive suggestions, give feedback as well as voice issues that the leadership can resolve. We should make full use of this opportunity to engage the US Fencing leadership.

Please spread the word about the Town Hall meeting to maximize attendance from parents.

We thank Mr, Donald Alperstein, US Fencing Board member for listening to parents’ concerns, and organizing the series of Town Hall Meetings to facilitate a constructive dialogue between parents and US Fencing’s leadership.

As this meeting precedes a US Fencing Board meeting the same evening, there will be a large number of Board members present, making it an excellent venue to make our parent voices heard by those responsible for US Fencing’s operational and strategic direction.

The 1st Town Hall meeting at the November NAC in Milwaukee was a success with many constructive suggestions from parents that US Fencing has taken note of. You can read the summary HERE.

Town hall meetings at summer nationals

For those unable to attend the February Town Hall meeting, US Fencing will hold 2 more Town Hall meetings at Summer Nationals, one at the front end of the tournament and one towards the end to accommodate parents across the age group spectrum.
